I've tried this on a facet surface where I had the offset happing inward and I ended up with different thicknesses at each face. Is there a way to do this where the thickness is always the same?studiocrwhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17029559661909145341noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-158628382296237604.post-59688735497469085082012-02-23T23:33:54.157-05:002012-02-23T23:33:54.157-05:00Hi Pedro,

You can also try making a void on workplane of a ref line diagonally connecting 2 of the adaptive points of the panel familiy.Zach Kronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12789983116042927745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-158628382296237604.post-50392970880886960972010-10-24T13:54:17.660-04:002010-10-24T13:54:17.660-04:00Zach, awesome post. I shared it with our class because I'm pretty sure everyone was having this problem.
I had the same question as someone earlier; how can I add a void to this? I am trying to make an interior hole whose size changes with a bitmap. the simple blend you show here works fine but as soon as I add the void in the middle it freaks out and I get the "Can't make type" error.
any ideas?Laurahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14515266729274096906noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-158628382296237604.post-44578888750967382232010-09-24T03:25:34.282-04:002010-09-24T03:25:34.282-04:00Hi

Create more dots towards the inside, give them parameters and then instead of making a face extrusion, make 2 faces, one outside and one inside and the join, then do the same in each side. This way you will have nice corners.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-158628382296237604.post-83581998425795881362009-05-19T22:53:07.678-04:002009-05-19T22:53:07.678-04:00Was just wondering if you will be interested in a ...Was just wondering if you will be interested in a little experiment of importing a complex dwg into a massing family for the creation of solid element in Revit?
let me know if you do:
eldada@fparch.com.au

thanks :)blogtesthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13475099516918285869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-158628382296237604.post-47080721541970700462009-05-13T20:58:00.000-04:002009-05-13T20:58:00.000-04:00You can use a void to make a frame, but I'm guessi...You can use a void to make a frame, but I'm guessing that it ends up not always cutting the proper hole when the frame is really deformed?
