I'm messing around with Blender's Shrink Wrap modifier on Revit models. . . surely there must be something good one can do with this tool and buildings. I think it's supposed to be used for making tight fitting clothes for character modeling, and clearly there are applications for doing some Christo-esque work, but other than that I'm stumped. It eludes me, and so . . . I love it.
I was trying to get it to make a 'water-tight' model for me the other day for 3D printing, but couldn't really get enough detail out of it.
ReplyDeleteWhat about Retopo? Now *theres* a tool that sounds interesting in a weird way. It lets you take a mesh, and then without changing it's shape totally mess with the underlying layout of the actual mesh...
But then what I'd really love is a Grease Pencil tool in Revit.
